Shaun Osburn - Singer of Middle-Aged Queers

Published: Sept. 25, 2020, 7 a.m.

This week, we welcome Shaun Osburn, the lead singer of Oakland, CA queercore band Middle-Aged Queers.  Shaun has been a very active member of the East Bay punk scene since he was a teenager, having been in several bands over the years including Wet-Nap, The Cost, and more.  He spent many years volunteering as a member of 924 Gilman St having booked countless shows there during his tenure.  We discuss the current state of queercore, how Middle-Aged Queers came about, what it was like to be such an active member of the 924 Gilman team, and we of course go over some of his favorite bands and Top 5 Desert Island albums.
