Jesse Luscious
We are fortunate to be joined this week by Jesse Townley. Jesse, also known in the scene as Jesse Luscious, is a veteran of the punk scene, having been a member of The Criminals (Lookout Records), The Gr'ups, Blatz (Alternative Tentacles) & The Frisk (Adeline Records). Currently, he performs in The Pathogens and Scene Killers.
Jesse moved to the East Bay Area as a young man and become entrenched in the thriving punk scene surrounding the 924 Gilman Street Project. Over the years, he has been a volunteer at the club, and an active member of the Berkeley rent board. In addition to all of this, he has also been a DJ on various radio stations for years, and a reviewer for magazines like Maximum Rock and Roll.
Currently, Jesse lives in the U.K. and works as a project and sales coordinator for Packaged Sounds, a vinyl manufacturing plant, which is a great fit for him having spent many years working as a release manager at Fat Wreck Chords, Alternative Tentacles and Lookout Records. Needless to say, Jesse has done and seen it all, and has a lot of great insight and stores to share.
