7-7 H1 - Mariners get blown out, Sheffield struggles / Shockey's golf game / JP Crawford reacts to the idea of trading Haniger
We spent most of yesterday talking about how well the M's were doing, which is why it was inevitable that they would get blown out last night by the Yankees, 12-1. Justus Sheffield did not look great to say the least, and he say she isn't at 100 percent. When the Mariners traded away Paxton for Sheffield in 2018, a scout said the most we could expect from him is being a reliever. Maybe that's all we'll get. Shockey played six holes of golf at Chambers Bay for the Social 6 event. His swing looked great, but how well did he actually play? We've wondered how veterans would react if the Mariners traded away Mitch Haniger, and JP Crawford, while talking with Ryan Divish, may have given us some indication.
