To help provide for his family, Leo pursues his dream of becoming a salvage diver and welder by joining the Navy. To achieve this he must leave his wife and baby at home, and move to San Diego, and then go out to sea.
Time spent in Africa broadened his world view. The discipline of working toward his diving chit made him stronger. Yet life on the ship was mixed with antics with his fellow shipmates.\xa0
