PLANS ARE being made to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem. This is significant for a couple of reasons. First, it's prophesied in Daniel 9:27 that the Antichrist will "cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease". Since there is no temple now on the site, that implies that it must be rebuilt before the Antichrist's rise to power.
Second and more immediate are the consequences of fundamentalist Jews trying to build a Temple to Yahweh on the site of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
