Dr. Tom Davis is a business owner, consultant, author, and expert in telemedicine\xa0practice. He is a board-certified family physician who grew his practice over 16 years\xa0into a regional health system. Then he and his partners merged with a competitor in\xa02012 and cashed out.

After the merger, he worked as an employee for the new entity but then discovered that he and corporate medicine were not a good fit. So, he quit to become a freelance consultant and author.

He developed expertise in running a telemedicine practice, and systems to optimize it.\xa0He now teaches and consults on telemedicine. He also developed a thriving consulting\xa0business helping health systems, physician groups, and venture capital firms develop\xa0new programs to support value-based care initiatives.
