Dr. Nkeiruka Duze earned her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. She then completed her internal medicine residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. She is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician practicing in the outpatient setting.
Burnout and a desire for work-life balance led to her curiosity about nonclinical opportunities for physicians. Given her interest in medical coding, she worked to increase her knowledge in this area earning Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) certifications from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
Dr. Duze now splits her time equally between clinical and non-clinical work. What\u2019s really interesting to me, is that she converted from a traditional outpatient clinical practice to a concierge practice as part of her transition.
