Naltrexone is a prescription medication used to treat both alcohol use disorder and opioid use disorder.\xa0 It\u2019s available as an oral tablet and an IM injection.

Naltrexone has 3 syllables:\xa0 nal TREX one.\xa0 *Emphasize the 2nd syllable, TREX.

\U0001f4cc Nal, which rhymes with \u201cpal.\u201d

\U0001f4cc TREX, which rhymes with Chex (a breakfast cereal sold in the US)

\U0001f4cc one, as in \u201cI own a motorcycle.\u201d\xa0

Vivitrol also has 3 syllables: VIV i trol.\xa0 *Emphasize the 1st syllable, VIV.

\U0001f535 Viv, as in Vivian (a female first name in the US)

\U0001f535 i, which is the schwa \u2018I\u2019 sound (a short \u201cI\u201d sound), like the \u201cI\u201d in the word, \u201cdecimal.\u201d
