How do these pronunciation episodes work? \xa0

- MIF, which rhymes with cliff (This syllable gets the secondary emphasis.)
- e, which sounds either like a short \u201ce\u201d sound or the schwa \u201ce\u201d sound. \xa0
- PRIS, like pristine (This syllable gets the primary/most emphasis.)
- tone, like muscle tone
Misoprostol = MYE soe PROS tol
- MYE as in, \u201cMy name is Kim.\u201d (This syllable gets the secondary emphasis.)
- Soe, like a needle a needle pulling thread (sew).\xa0 If you say this syllable quickly, it sounds like the \u201cSu,\u201d in \u201cSupper.\u201d
- PROS, like prostate (This syllable gets the primary/most emphasis.)\xa0
- tol, like Toledo, OH
