In our society, there is a common belief that children who exhibit strong emotions, reactions, and aggressive behaviors are the ones who need to be punished and corrected. However, it's important to recognize that the child who is hitting, kicking, or biting is likely the one who is in pain and struggling, and until we can help them feel better and more connected, everyone around them is at risk of getting hurt.
