While most aspiring dancers dream of dancing leading roles in their favorite companies, many don't realize that there is an entirely different approach to having a professional dance career. Freelance dancers are those artists that have no long-term attachment to any one company. Some travel the country to perform with multiple organizations each season, while others are trying to gain experience to build their resume to join their dream company.
