Talked with Natalie Frendberg, Education Coor, Oxbow Eco-Center and Communications Chair, Indian River Lagoon Science Festival. This is their 6th annual IRL Science Festival. It's happening downtown Ft. Pierce on Saturday, October 26th starting at 10am. They will have over 80 exhibitors including, FAU Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute, Smithsonian Marine Station, and well as entertainment from a drum line and step group. One of the really cool events is the parade. The procession of the species (outfits are made from upcycled items). Listeners can also go to a behind the scenes tour of FAU Harbor Branch on Wednesday, October 23rd at 10am as part of the pre-festival activities.
