Techopia Live: Nuvyyo goes prime time with new Tablo device

At a time when consumers are looking to save money given rising inflation, Ottawa-based Nuvyyo is providing TV watchers with a chance to cut the cord.\n\nNuvyyo has unveiled a new version of its flagship device, called Tablo, that is capable of receiving over-the-air TV signals and digitally recording shows.\n\nNuvyyo is now owned by E.W. Scripps Company, a Cincinnati-based broadcasting organization that acquired it for just under US$14 million in January 2022. That new ownership, which adds considerable marketing resources, and the new device could be a game changer for Nuvyyo.\n\nThe latest Tablo will retail for just less than US$100 and be sold directly to consumers at www.tablotv.com and BestBuy.com.\n\nIn this episode of Techopia Live, Ottawa Business Journal publisher Michael Curran talks to Nuvyyo CEO Grant Hall about the \u201cmost ambitious project\u201d in the firm\u2019s history.
