The Tyranny of a Happy Accident
Although I didn\u2019t know it until now, how one great month in my early twenties pretty much ruined my career.
\n\nFor one brief, shining moment when I was in my early twenties, the sun and stars and all the planets aligned and I was able to bill $5,000 in one month. In 2017, that\u2019s the equivalent of over $15,000 or, if you prefer, $180,000 a year. Through what turned out to be a happy accident, I believed I had officially hit the big time.
