As 2020 draws to a close (THANK GOD!), we are also finishing up Season 5 of Hotline Helplines.\nThe season definitely had its ups and downs. Sometimes we could get someone to talk to us and sometimes not. Always a challenge but always fun which is the way we like things and frankly, the way we approach life and our cooking school business. Because everyday is a NEW DAY! It keeps our lives interesting, I mean, who wants a boring life?\nWe will often have people in class who seem like they're not having a good time. They're hard to read and are usually quiet and don't ask questions or interact much. Then, much to our surprise at the end of class, they'll come up to us and tell us what a great time they had. We're always so surprised by this. We want to say "WHAATTT?!" But that's their approach to life and Natalia and I frequently discuss what makes people interesting or not and what those people we would categorize as "boring" experience as a good time. But, God love them, they apparently have a good time. And, we're so glad that share that with us.\nObviously, our good times are a bit louder and bawdier than most people's. And, we like entertaining you with that. At least, we like to think you're enjoying it!!\nWe close out our season with a a visit from my NYC daughter, a couple of shout outs and reviews from the Hater's Guide to Williams-Sonoma's Christmas catalog. We also share our holiday plans and end with a little hope for what's to come.\nHere are the highlights but, of course, please listen to the entire episode. The very end should sound familiar...thanks to Frank Capra's It's A Wonderful LIfe.\n10:37 - Our super fan, Brenda and her family\n12:26 - The beginning of the Hater's Guide but we'll be back\n13:06 - NYC daughter, Merrin, arrives (from the kitchen)\n21:24 - Details of chicken tetrazzini\n23:55 - A shout out for our NY Super Fan, Brian Foley\n24:33 - Completing the Hater's Guide and more\n28:19 - Tiffany's tin can\n37:13 - The Christmas Star\nWe're making it easier than ever for you to join the conversation.
