Jeannette Ehlers is a Copenhagen-based artist of Danish and Trinidadian descent who works primarily with photography, video, installation, sculpture, and performance. Her practice often makes use of self-representation and image manipulation to explore themes relating to identity, ethnicity and history - namely Denmark\u2019s colonial impact in the Caribbean and participation in the Transatlantic Slave Trade. \xa0 Her work has been exhibited extensively both in Denmark and abroad, including most recently, shows at MCA in Chicago and Le Centre Pompidou in Paris. \xa0
