In this episode I discuss the importance of having a vision. We must have a vision to be able to get where we want to go in life and in our professions. \xa0It is imperative that we see where we want to be and create an actionable plan for getting there.
\nThat starts with creating a mission and vision statement for ourselves. \xa0This is the beginning of the process for following a self development plan. \xa0
\nWhen you start to have a vision and act upon it, you have some that want to blind you and to make you second guess yourself. They will try to make you feel guilty for moving forward, for working hard and for getting better! \xa0DO NOT let them keep you from your vision!
\n\xa0
\nBelow is a sample mission and vision statement from a student from one of my officer development classes. \xa0It its geared for the fire officer, but it is applicable for anybody.
\nThanks for listening and take care,
Jason
