Crisis Leadership Lessons from Flight 1549: Gerry McNamara

On January 15, 2009, Gerry McNamara was a part of a historic event known as the "Miracle on the Hudson." Shown in the hit movie,\xa0Sully,\xa0after hitting a flock of geese right after takeoff, Flight 1549 miraculously landed on the Hudson river. There were 155 passengers on board and all 155 of them survived the incident. These people's lives were saved because of brave leaders, who took initiative and lead through a crisis. Gerry was one of the last passengers off of the plane and we learn from him today what GREAT leaders do when they face a crisis. Do not waste a crisis!
