Near half century low for US jobless claims

Friday 12th April 2019 The US dollar was helped overnight with surprisingly low jobless claims numbers in the US. NAB’s’S Gavin Friend says it points to a tightening labour market, which should, theoretically, keep the upward pressure on wages. Yet, we also saw production prices fall overnight.
