\n\nIn which we see Radaghast\u2019s curtain call, as Sauruman\u2019s pawn. The Eagles evolve from talking fairytale animals to agents of angels. The Wind Lord, Gwaihir rescues Gandalf after an entire summer stuck in Orthanc\u2019s tower. Deus Ex Aquila: the eagles do seem to specialize in rescuing virtuous people (and their corpses) from \u201cSticky Wickeds,\u201d don\u2019t they?
\n\nHOMEWORK: Find instances of \u201cTo try to\u201d and \u201cTo try and\u201d and we\u2019ll examine it next time.
