On this episode of\xa0 \u201cOn the Shoulders of Giants- Talking Old Timers with Thomas Steenburg\u201d, Thomas and Julie sit down with Dustin Severs to talk about his new book \u201cThe Abominable Snowman of California: Giant Footprints, Wooden Stompers, and the Making of an American Legend\u201d.\xa0 The book tells the story of some of the more colorful and sometimes hilarious characters, such as Dahinden, Green, Titmus, Krantz, Byrne and Bindernagel, considered to be the \u201coriginal bigfoot hunters\u201d and the legacy they left behind.\xa0 Tune in to find out more about how it all began, who the key players were and what secrets are disclosed in his book!\n\nDustin moved to Oregon from the Midwest in spring of 2016. He met the Bluff Creek Project guys and has been working with them ever since. He began writing the book in the fall of 2017 and self-published in the fall of 2023.
