How to cultivate investment sources

• Stay away from major media, most of it is propaganda or paid-for advertising
• Find independent sources and follow them for a while to get to know their perspective
• Find competing sources (e.g. republican view vs democrat view). This is hard but extremely valuable
• Find people who know how to think
  
• Challenge your own views on things. Challenge your ego
• Look for outliers or things that don't make sense
