Climate change, by 2040, was creating ideal conditions for viruses to jump from one species to another, with far-reaching consequences for human health.

As thousands of new viral transmissions started to surface from hotspots all over the world, a radical movement began to emerge. Extremists banded together to argue that animals should be annihilated before they wipe out humans.

They insisted that if the planet heats up rapidly, animals will be unable to shift their ranges quickly enough and will perish as a result, rather than giving them time to adapt and move around with slower warming.

Their argument was both disturbing and impractical, but they refused to give up. Adding to the chaos.
