Dear young adults of the 20s,

The world you are inheriting may appear to be going insane and spiraling down a path of self-destruction. Your leaders may seem unconcerned. And it may feel like the older generation simply want to keep as much of the guarantee of a good life as they were promised with no regard for your future.

These emotions are understandable and, in retrospect, accurate. But what are you going to do about it?

Unfortunately, you are powerless. This period of history will, and must play out. The hardship will end, but difficult times are ahead. You have control over how you respond, and how humanity emerges from the ashes. Because it is only you who has the power to change the course of our lives.

If you can refocus on being better humans to each other and to the living planet that cares for you, you might have a chance.

Slow down to see the intricate networks of everything around you. Take time to create something for the sake of the process of creation, and share your work, time, and wisdom with others to grow your connections.

Rather than canceling those whom you don\u2019t agree with, refocus your attention on moving forward and working on your own personal growth.

This is humanity\u2019s most decisive time in history.  And you, young people of the 2020s, can be the ones who can rewrite our future.
