The first of a 2 part series, Matt and Russ discuss where all this was born, the Royal Navy. On this episode the boys discuss their basic training at HMS Raleigh (which Russ shouldn’t have finished), engineering training at HMS Sultan where we hear all about the legendary Sultan Bop. Then we move on to where the lads met on HMS Southampton and discuss stories together such as the time Matt soiled his mates jeans, Russ signed up for a famous Gibraltar prank “monkey shooting” and what they describe as the greatest week of their life after landing the easy gig shoreside during the T200 (Battle of Trafalgar anniversary) celebrations. With so much to cover the lads will be dropping a bonus episode following this discussing their 6 month deployment later this week.
