This morning, the Nobel committee announced the winners of the economics prize: three economists focused on how social institutions affect poverty and wealth within and among countries. The winners were Daron Acemoglu and Simon Johnson of MIT and James A. Robinson at the University of Chicago. Today, we’ll discuss some of their research findings.
