FIRST ANGER. SECOND ANGER.
I stubbed my toe today and let out a well deserved “F*ck!!”.
What shifted for me, however, is that after the initial trigger, I detached from the frustration of “it shouldn’t be this way... that shouldn’t have happened... I should be more coordinated”, to...
“I did that. Let’s move on”.
Some of you in business and marketing figuratively stub your toe (could be technology, could be a financial pinch), we’ll call that First Anger...
And it triggers you. But what you miss, like I missed, is how you continue that anger long past the initial trigger.
We’ll call that Second Anger.
This robs you of your power and keeps you stuck.
This is another angle into how Anger is a kid on your (and my) results...
