Tesla\u2019s (supposedly) about to finally deploy its infamous Tesla FSD Beta to a wider audience\u2026 sort of. Tonight. Maybe. And it\u2019s not really a full deployment, rather it\u2019s a \u201cRequest\u201d button which will enable those of us, like yours truly, who already purchased FSD, to \u2014 you guessed it \u2014 to \u201crequest\u201d FSD Beta.

After requesting, Tesla\u2019s insurance system will analyze your last seven consecutive days of driving to determine whether you \u201cqualify\u201d for FSD Beta.

I unpack the ins and outs of what this all means, whether it\u2019s fair \u2014 or even legal \u2014 and the big elephant in the room question, whether this is a smart thing to do, not to mention, whether it\u2019s safe.
