Nightmare Zero

The following account was retrieved from the journal of Dr. Neil Zaveri, a prominent psychiatrist and director of New Saint's Hospital's psychiatric unit in New Victoria. The doctor was known to be studying various strains of the strange New Victoria sleeping disease that first emerged in the city during the early 1990's.  However, after the epidemic sleeping syndrome threatened to spread beyond the borders of New Victoria, the whole city soon became quarantined.  The journal was retrieved during one of several government funded exploration missions after the city's abandonment in 1993.  While Zaveri’s journal was found in the bottom drawer of his office desk, long abandoned and covered in cob webs, Zaveri himself was nowhere to be found.
