At this year's @Moogfest, maDCap was privileged to spend time with Baltimore-based musician @Dan-Deacon, a man who personifies the festival's vision of colliding artistry, technology and innovation. We spoke with Deacon about his upbringing, musical training, memorable stage shows and the future of art, technology and political activism.\n\nThen, 'Welcome to Deathfest' is a fantastic new documentary directed, edited and produced by our guest Tom Grahsler. It's about the largest independent Heavy Metal and extreme music festival in the United States, 'Maryland Death Fest,' which takes place just up the road in Baltimore. The film is a real-life drama, a study in do-it-yourself entrepreneurship, and a stereotype-busting view into an often misunderstood culture.\n\n@dan-deacon\nhttp://dandeacon.com\nhttp://twitter.com/ebaynetflix\nhttp://fb.com/dandeacon\nhttp://whamcity.com\n--\nhttp://deathfestdoc.squarespace.com\nhttp://twitter.com/deathfestdoc\nhttp://fb.com/welcometodeathfest\nhttp://twitter.com/tomgrahsler\nhttp://marylanddeathfest.com\n--\nhttp://madcapdc.org\nhttp://twitter.com/madcapdc\nhttp://fb.com/madcapdc\nhttp://instagram.com/madcapdc
