It’s my great pleasure to welcome to the studio today Kevin Chaplin who is the director of the Amy Foundation. Formerly the Amy Biehl Foundation, the non-profit was established in the 90’s as a tribute to Amy Biehl, the young American student who was killed in Gugulethu shortly before South Africa’s first democratic election. Set up by her parents to honour Amy’s commitment to reconciliation, today the foundation offers multi-pronged interventions that aim to empower and encourage youngsters living in some of Cape Town’s most vulnerable communities
