VIRTUAL LIVING WILL

We’ve done lots of coverage over the years about the importance of drawing up a will which indicates what you want to happen to your possessions after your death. But we’ve actually had very little conversation around the concept of a LIVING will which tells your loved ones what you want to happen if you’re ever in a medical situation where you can’t articulate your own wishes for yourself.

I want to remedy that oversight today and talk about what a living will contains, who should have one, when they should be drawn up and how to do so. Joining me in studio is Dr Linda Holding, who is a palliative care trained doctor with 20 years' clinical risk management experience. She’s also the co-founder of a business called Swansong which offers online assistance in drawing up a living will.
