Food - Fyn restaurant places 37th in world

We shared the news last week that Cape Town restaurant Fyn had been voted the 37th best in the world. The accolade came via the annual San Pellegrino list which rates establishments all over the globe, based on the feedback of more than 1 thousand critics, chefs and gourmets. It’s the second time the restaurant has appeared on the list, even though it’s only been open for 3 years. Huge jump from 92nd in 2021 to 37th now.
I’ve had the utter privilege of eating there twice since it opened, so I can personally tell you I’m not the slightest bit surprised by their success. Owner and chef patron Peter Tempelhoff is out of town this month but it’s my great pleasure to have his Executive Chef and Culinary Director Ashley Moss with us in studio today to celebrate the news.
