The Call, the Cost, and the Commission of the Kingdom
We finish this series with the crux of what it means to be part of the Kingdom. Denial of the self could very well mean death. Jesus admits that following him requires you to "take up your cross," and he doesn't mean a necklace or bracelet. This is no prosperity gospel. Following Jesus will often hurt. Especially when we are called to forgive those who hurt us.
