Amy Corpron is a remarkable woman. She shares her experience raising her Autistic son, Austin. She shares the joys of having such a loving, kind, considerate son and how that has blessed their family. She also shares some of the difficulties like when Austin would yell, "She's not my mother!" at the grocery store. Amy would have to wait until a police officer arrived at the grocery store before going home with her son. She is very inspiring as she shares how she has always supported Austin from the very beginning. She is an advocate for the autism community by bringing awareness to police officers, law makers and teachers. Austin had a dream to write and illustrate a children's book, but at the time he couldn't read or write. Amy always believed in him, and 10 years later he was able to reach his goal. She answers questions from Skye (the previous episode) on what it is like to raise an adult child with Autism and how she has helped him to be more independent. On the podcast we have the opportunity to hear from Austin about what it was like to write a book.
