Galveston Railroad Museum and ATSF 5000 "Madame Queen"

Skip Waters will be your host today on Lets Talk Trains. \xa0Following the usual LTT callers, we will hear from Dr. John Bertini of the Galveston Railroad Museum. \xa0After four years recovering from Hurricane Ike, the museum is having its re-grand reopening. \xa0One of the big events will be the arrival of the newly restored F units, painted in the livery of the Santa Fe Warbonnet, probably the most recognizable paint scheme in the history of railroading. \xa0Then during out second hour, we will hear from Mr. Sam Teague, President of Railroad Artifact Preservation Society and the Santa Fe Fifty Hundred Team of the ATSF 5000\xa0"Madame Queen". \xa0Who's vision is to restore the 5000 to steam power with the goal of operating steam excursions from its historic home of Amarillo, Texas. \xa0We have an All the Way Santa Fe show today on Lets Talk Trains... won't you join us!
