139. Firing Kindly, Promote them to Customer!!!
Unfortunately, if you run a business, at some point you're going to have to let someone go.\xa0 You know, fire them.\xa0 There are so many crazy stories of how horribly people are fired and it's sad to see.\xa0 What's sadder, is how most managers do not take action on a nonperforming team member.\xa0 The manager doesn't want to be the bad guy or affect someone's life, but yet, the manager will allow that person to destroy their team or even their business.\xa0 It's never fun to fire someone, even if they do something horrible, but there is a way to do it with dignity.\xa0 On this week's episode of the Leadership Lifestyle podcast, I'll talk about the anxiety of firing someone, some interesting stories about people that should have been fired but weren't, and most importantly, how you can have a framework to promote team members to Customer if you must.
