LOL-eros! This is a very special episode of Latinos Out Loud, recorded at WBCR, the CUNY Brooklyn College radio station, and it was produced by some of the students of @RachelLaLoca's Advanced Radio and Podcasting class! Shout out to them (they just got closer to getting an A in the class LOL)! \nOn this episode, Rachel connected virtually with Co-creator, Writer, Co-Executive Producer and Co-star of the hit NBC comedy series \u201cLopez vs. Lopez, Mayan Lopez! The two Latinas chatted about their improv and sketch comedy training, Mayan being an alum of Second City Chicago and Rachel being an alum of UCB NY, and the representation (or lack thereof :/) of Latinas in that field of comedy training, as well as how that training is utilized in Mayan's performances on set. She also shared what it's like to work with her father, the iconic, George Lopez on this, the second season of the HILARIOUS TV show. Rachel was lucky enough to see a live taping of the show while out in LA a few weeks back, and recounts the incredible wit and flawlessness in watching the Lopez Vs. Lopez action LIVE. Mayan is killing it right now, having just served as a guest judge on Rupaul's Drag Race! \n\nABOUT LOPEZ VS LOPEZ\nOnce-estranged father and daughter George and Mayan navigate dysfunction, reconnection, and all the headaches and joy in between as they make up for lost time like only they can.
