The last year has been very challenging for Australia as a community, first the drought, then the fires, followed by floods and of course the COVID-19 pandemic. Many community organisations like churches, unions, political parties and sporting organisations were already struggling. Some have been able to adapt and new ones have sprung up that give hope for a continuing sense of community. Australians have always been quick to respond in a crisis, but will the ongoing pandemic prove challenging to the bonds between us all.
