Introducing\xa0Am\xe9d\xe9e David the Comte de Pastoret. The painter Jean Auguste Dominiqu\xe9 Ingres was a student of Jacques Louis David. It\u2019s funny because thirty five years before this portrait, David did one with Am\xe9d\xe9e in it. He was the baby in\xa0Madame de Pastoret and Her Son.\xa0There were no signs of the man he\u2019d become from his tiny presence in that painting. In contrast, this portrait shows us the man \u2013\xa0Am\xe9d\xe9e David the Compte de Pastoret.
