b"For decades, the number of work-related fatalities in the United States has been on the decline. In 1928, job-related injuries claimed the lives of 19,000 Americans. In 2017, the number had fallen to 5,147 \\u2013 a 73% decrease over the 90-year period. And while the rate of non-fatal injuries continues to fall, the National Safety Council finds that workplace fatalities have not followed that trend. Recently, in fact, they\\u2019ve crept upward.
