Lagusta Yearwood started her culinary career as a form of activism as a graduate from the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York. She went on to serve as a private chef in nyc for many years and then ran her own food delivery business which then ran simultaneously with her confectionary services, all under the title of Lagusta’s Luscious.
It all came back to chocolate when she officially opened the first vegan chocolate shop in the world, Lagusta’s Luscious in New Paltz, NY. Lagusta’s Luscious also operates Commisary! A cafe just a couple blocks from Lagusta’s Luscious also in New Paltz, NY, and Confectionary! A retail sweets shop in New York City.
