For many young Afghan girls, leaving the house and striving for independence is not as simple as the western practice of turning 18 and doing whatever you want. In this episode, we ruminate and reflect on how it feels to carve out space for ourselves when the generational script for us guilts and shames us otherwise. Home is fluid and ever-changing but somehow feels permanent in the heart and soul.
