You start building a business from scratch and things go great, but then you realise you have to go down the other side of the mountain to tackle the big climb. The climb towards the dream that you deserve. As she says \\u201cI started my first business as a freelance copywriter back in 2001 because I was MISERABLE at my corporate J-O-B of 13 years. I felt out of balance not spending enough time with my three daughters and being there to take them to brownies and soccer and music lessons. I wasn\\u2019t at work enough either\\u2026.it felt like a no-win situation. When my third daughter was born I had had enough and summoned the courage to take the scary leap and quit. My entire life I have always done the right thing. I went to college. Got married. Had three kids. Bought a custom home in the right neighbourhood. Had a responsible job at a good fortune 50 company. I was secure, yet still felt unfulfilled. I learned the hard way that \\u2018doing\\u2019 the right thing doesn\\u2019t always bring happiness and fulfilment \\u2013 how I am \\u2018being\\u2019 is just as, if not more, important to creating a life of purpose and profitability.\\u201d Which sounds like a typical story of disillusionment and then taking control, but as I say there is two sides to the mountain. What do you then do when the initial success starts dropping, and you find yourself doubting your talents, your work ethic and well\\u2026.everything? Well as she says \\u201cI worked hard and built my copywriting business alone. I started as a \\u2018generalist\\u2019 and after a few years specialised in the healthcare industry. A local hospital hired me and I LOVED working with them for many reasons. I had been reading about choosing a niche and knew I had found my home working with healers. I built my freelance copywriting business up to around 50K and, after a few years of success, my copywriting business starting dropping suddenly.\\u201d And that is where we will start todays show. So looking back can she see what was going wrong, or was this just a part of the journey that she had to go through? And how does she balance her family life with her business now?
