\\xb7Michael Collins \\xb7 A Man of Diversity \\xb7\\xa0 delivered by his grand-niece Nora Owen.Nora, a former Fine Gael politician was born in Dublin in 1945 and educated at the Dominican Convent, County Wicklow and University College Dublin where she qualified as an industrial chemist. She was first elected to the D\\xe1il \\xc9ireann in 1981, serving until the 1987 election when she would lose her seat only to be returned again in 1989 before becoming Deputy Leader of Fine Gael in 1993. The following year she became Minister for Justice, remaining in that post until 1997.Michael Collins is remembered by many as a soldier who fought for Irish Independence, while others will remember him as a politician and Minister for Finance. His family members, on the other hand, additionally, remembered him as a son, a brother, an uncle and grand-uncle who worried about the effect his beliefs and actions would have on his family.
