A creative from Atticall, Co. Down, Declan has always had a keen interest in both acting and filmmaking. From comedy sketches on YouTube to his debut award-winning short film \u2018Shine\u2019 with a national and international film festival circuit run. Declan has a desire to create his own material aimed towards comedy, relatable storylines and showcasing homegrown irish talent. Set within the vast countryside of rural ireland, \u2018dear imelda\u2019 follows the unwanted open-ended arrival of grandson ciaran to his nanny imelda\u2019s traditional home. Desperate to cling to her independence, imelda disputes the need to have ciaran dropped into her life, especially when he takes the presumption of installing something which he requires to work from home, the internet. In an attempt to mediate the ongoing friction, ciaran demonstrates the benefits technology could contribute to his nanny\u2019s off the grid lifestyle. In doing so, he discovers that he has the ability to play a vital role to a friendship on hiatus some 60 years.
