A museum of international renown, the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum is regarded as being amongst the best of its kind in the world.\xa0 Set in over 170 acres of rolling landscape overlooking Belfast Lough, visitors can wander through the past and discover how people lived and travelled over the centuries.he railway collection is housed in the largest single museum gallery space in Ireland.Rail Gallery at the Ulster Folk and Transport MuseumSteam locomotives, passenger carriages and goods wagons are combined with extensive railway memorabilia, interactive displays and visitor facilities including a children's play area.The Irish Railway Collection tells the story of over 150 years of railway history.The earliest vehicle is a carriage from Ireland's first railway, the Dublin and Kingstown Railway.
