Human Rights - Building and Crossing Bridges - Survey

The Iowa City Human Rights Commission partnered with several local diversity-building groups and human rights organizations to host an event aimed at combating hate speech and fear mongering while building a stronger Corridor community. This program features presentations by Kingsley Botchway II, Iowa City's Mayor Pro-tem and the Iowa City Community School District's Equity and Engagement Director, and by Dr. Sarah Bruch, Associate Professor in the University of Iowa's Department of Sociology.

The event was sponsored by the Iowa City Human Rights Commission. Co-sponsors include the Muslim Public Affairs Council of Iowa, ACLU-IA, Johnson County Consultation of Religious Communities, United Nations Association of Iowa and Johnson County, Johnson County Board of Supervisors, University of Iowa Center for Human Rights, University of Iowa Chief Diversity Office, Peace Iowa and the Center for Worker Justice of Eastern Iowa.
