Human Rights - Affordable Housing Panel 1

The Iowa City Human Rights Commission moderates the first of two panel discussions held to address issues related to affordable and accessible housing. Participants include the City of Iowa City Housing Authority and Housing Inspection Divisions, the Domestic Violence Intervention Program, the Housing Trust Fund of Johnson County, Southgate Companies, United Action for Youth, and the University of Iowa Public Policy Center.

Panelists in this program include:
Bronis Perteit and Sarah Hunnicutt from the Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP). Ms. Perteit serves as DVIP's director of outreach services and Ms. Hunnicutt serves as housing coordinator for the northern counties in DVIP's service area, including Johnson County.
Ally Hanten, the transitional living program coordinator at United Action for Youth (UAY).
Tracey Achenbach, executive director of the Housing Trust Fund of Johnson County.
Maryann Dennis, executive director of The Housing Fellowship.
