Access to quality deal flow and the ability to vet potential investments. This means the manager knows where to find deals and how to analyze them. Ability to run due diligence on candidate investments. Can determine valuation and negotiate terms with the company. Knows how to find follow-on investors for the fund\u2019s investment in the startups. Ability to help funded companies be successful. This involves coaching on how to staff the startup and what to focus on at each stage. Ability to join the startup\u2019s board and provide expertise, networking, and guidance.
